How to Tell if I Have Depression
Depression is the feeling that everything is hopeless, useless and there’s no energy to even make an effort. Depression symptoms include an inability to concentrate, feelings of fatigue, disinterest and the only thing you love to do anymore is stay in bed. Sometimes we know what the cause is, for example postpartum depression. Other times it’s purely a chemical imbalance in our brain. Should I take medication for depression? First we need to know exactly how severe the symptoms are. Here’s a clinical depression test called The Beck Depression Inventory that you can take before scheduling an appointment to help us understand just how severe your depression really is. Be sure to have the results available for our first session together.
